Managing Your Grant: A Roadmap to the Finish Line

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs & the Office of Grant Accounting are pleased to announce the following Fall 2013 workshop:

Managing your Grant: A Roadmap to the Finish Line

Receiving a grant award to carry out your research project or other program is always exciting. Managing a grant award, however, particularly for “first-timers,” can seem a daunting task with the myriad of sponsor requirements, rules and regulations.

It doesn’t have to be! “Armed” with the right information, managing a grant award from start to finish, whether federal or non-federal, can be done smoothly and successfully.

This workshop will outline the key points that every principal investigator needs to know when they receive a grant, such as:

• Types of awards
• Allowable costs
• Prior approvals
• Financial management
• Reporting

The workshop will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013, in University Hall Room 4116 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP by Monday, November 4, 2013, to reserve your seat today.
